IT DOES SOMETHING TO YOU

Living through disaster
bumps the impossible
a little bit closer.
It does something to you;
brings the alligator
so near it embraces
you in claustrophobic
teeth that won't. Let. Go, the
next time a storm comes near.
Fear changes you, somehow ...
it makes you face things you
don't want to think about:
like your mortality.

No doubt about it: "IT DOES SOMETHING TO YOU" on the real side. Another great poem from one of the best pens out there. Thank you for sharing.
